Abstract

The article critically examines one of the most influential official reports on women's imprisonment in England and Wales, The Corston Report (2007). Utilising the work of gender responsivity scholars (Hannah-Moffat, 2001; Goodkind 2009; Haney, 2010), the article considers the limitations and implications of the operation of gender responsive models of correction.
