Glesum is an audio-visual compositional work that explores the relationship between what is seen and what is heard. The piece attempts to capture the sound of the mechanical and artistic process of creating glass art and sets out to defamiliarise the familiar using filmed, moving visuals. The symbolic relationship between the audio and visual image relates back to Goebbels' theory of the thing seen / the thing heard in Stifter's Dinge.
