Abstract

Problem-based learning (PBL) is widely used in medical and health-related professional education, but its wide-scale adoption in other disciplines in the UK is relatively rare – usually initiated by individual and sometimes departmental initiatives. This case study of the use of PBL in a taught MSc in Information Security shows how it can be adopted at a module level and highlights both the benefits and challenges.
