Abstract

Thrul et al.’s contribution is important, because it offers a more nuanced account of how the gender composition of groups shapes alcohol behaviour. By suggesting that gender differences in real-world drinking behaviours need not necessarily be immutable across different contexts, this work showcases the value of ecological momentary assessment.
