Abstract
Song and Dance was written for the 60th birthday of the composer James Wishart. The 'song' elements are the outer sections, with a somewhat Caledonian dance in the centre, reflecting James' ancestry. Both sections draw - in different ways - on the numbers in the date of James' birth. 24(0)756.
