Dr. Melanie Lang is a senior lecturer in child protection in sport and a former elite child athlete. Her research and teaching centres on the policy and practice of safeguarding and child protection in sport and on children's rights in sport. Melanie works closely with national sports organisations including the Rugby Football League, the Rugby Football Union and Sports Coach UK, and has delivered conference presentations and training workshops on safeguarding, child protection and safe practice in youth sport to sport policymakers, coaches, athletes and charitable organisations from the UK, Cmore...
